Mads Mikkelsen To Be the Disquieting Face of Hannibal's Debut Perfume

The public image of NBC's series Hannibal will benefit from added glamour and a face lift thanks to an eponymous fragrance said to be in the works with global brand management company Evolution...

It is inspired by the popular TV prequel to Silence of the Lambs entering its second season on February 28, which is advertized as a "stylized thriller."

If it sounds strange to develop a fragrance based on the spiraling down universes of mad criminals, apparently it is justified by the exquisite taste Hannibal the psychiatrist displays before he went terribly wrong. 

"Gaumont head of marketing Tim Farish said: "Part of the Hannibal allure is thanks to the haunting yet beautiful universe that Bryan Fuller and his team have created.

"Evolution understands this universe well and will bring new products to our incredibly loyal and supportive 'fannibals' across all parts of the globe with this new licensing agreement."

We can only point out that the future Hannibal perfume is right on trend with the mega trend of gourmand fragrances. With TV episodes gruesomely entitled Aperitif, Amuse-Bouche, Potage, Ceuf, Coquilles, Entrée etc. the possibilities seem endless.
