An Old-School Lily of the Valley Fragrance is Back to Fête its 94th Springtime

French, revivalist niche perfume house Oriza L. Legrand have launched a new perfume taken from their catalogue called Muguet Fleuri (Lily of the Valley in Bloom), which launched originally in 1920, this just in time for May the first festivities in France where the gift of muguet is a tradition...

The brand makes reference to an old-fashioned usage of the word "muguet" in French to designate what can be roughly translated in modern, informal parlance as a "ladies man," one that would be well-groomed and perfumed.

The composition opens on top notes of leafy green notes, wild grass, and wild lily of the valley seguing into a heart of galbanum, angelica, violet leaves, and woodland muguet. In the base, the lily of the valley is back as fresh bells of muguet, oak moss and meadow lily.

Price: 90€ for 100 ml of eau de parfum.
