 A Marine Scent for the City

Jo Malone will introduce a new unisex perfume from September 2014 called Wood Sage & Sea Salt...

Perfumer Christine Nagel formerly of Mane - and now newly appointed as co-in-house perfumer at Hermès - created the "joyful" and escapist marine composition, which is meant not so much to accompany you on your seaside vacation as to allow you to imagine you are by the sea while being in the city. She said,

“For me this fragrance is different.The sea air mixes with salty spray and the mineral texture of sand and rock. Like the scent of driftwood, it has a natural and fresh sophistication. A complex combination of wood and the sea is at its core. The feeling is of free-spirited liberty and joy.”

The eau de parfum opens on top notes of Ambrette Seeds, Buchu Leaves, and Bergamot leading to a heart of Sea Salt, a Mineral Accord and Dried Fruit while being anchored thanks to a base consisting of Sage, Driftwood, and Guaiacwood.
