Montblanc Emblem for Men (2014) {New Fragrance} {Men's Cologne}
Fountain pen meister Montblanc are launching a new fragrance for men called Emblem. The flacon is fashioned after the iconic cap in their best effort so far at recreating the atmosphere of a Montblanc signature design...
You could almost smell the ink, but no. The scent prefers to boast of its revisited classicism. The new eau de toilette was composed by perfumer Sonia Constant of Givaudan. She said,
“Emblem emanates an elegance marked by the contrast between sensual cinnamon and aqueous - almost frosty - violet leaf...a dreamt-of classic revisited… totally contemporary.”
The perfume opens on top notes of bitter grapefruit, cardamom, sage, pink peppercorn and black pepper. The heart features a contrasted accord of spicy cinnamon and violet leaves. The base features a neo-patchouli note, i.e., a clean one together with tonka bean, woods and Ambroxan.
The nose added that she put emphasis on using OrPur grade raw materials so as to call attention to the natural beauty of the ingredients.
