Givenchy Dahlia Divin - Fronted by Alicia Keys (2014) {New Perfume} {Celebrity Fragrance} {Trend Alert}

Givenchy have unveiled their new, upcoming feminine perfume fronted by singer Alicia Keys, as announced previously. The new jus is called Dahlia Divin. It revolves around jasmine sambac, a perfumery material which is inspiring other 2014 perfumes like Van Cleef & Arpels California Rêverie and Byredo Flowerhead (three makes a trend in our book) ...

Thierry Maman, président parfums Givenchy said about the house collaboration with Alicia Keys that,

"Alicia is a remarkable woman whose magnetic and charismatic personality and beauty perfectly espouse what a Givenchy product has always been: precious, unique and unexpected. We can't wait to collaborate on this fascinating project of a new fragrance."

Keys is seen wearing a golden lamé evening dress by Givenchy while reclining on a rustic barrier decorated with golden ribbons mimicking hay. It's a mix of elements with the formality of the decor behind and this more bucolic element in the foreground. It might be Givenchy's idea of high-brow and low-brow contrast since Keys comes from pop culture and Givenchy are new to pop culture.

The fragrance composition is signed by perfumer François Demachy. It features notes of Sambac jasmine, mirabelle plum, white florals, vetiver, patchouli and sandalwood.

The official ad campaign will kickstart in September 2014.
