ID Parfums Rêve de Bahia: Of Lilies & Citruses (2014) {New Perfume}

French direct sales brand ID Parfums have released a new perfume called Rêve de Bahia (Dream of Bahia) in this summer of the FIFA World Cup 2014 in Brazil. It is dedicated to celebrating the sensual art of living of Brazilians...

The composition based on the main idea of an accord of lilies and agrumes was created by perfumer Angéline Leporini of Robertet, who is also the nose behind the new Love Rose by Reminiscence. 

Leporini said,

"The inspiration for this perfume comes from a stroll I took at sunset on the beach of Bahia, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world and also one of the most sensual ones. I was struck by the impression of an incredible explosion of colors which takes place there but also by the warmth and the enveloping, caressing sweetness of life. Rêve de Bahia is the perfume of Brazil - the langorous rhythm of bossa nova..."

The Eau de Toilette opens on top notes of blood orange, bitter orange, lemon, Caïpirinha cocktail and coconut toddy. The heart rests on jasmine sambac, solar lilies and an aquatic note. The base offers tropical woody notes of guaiacwood, sandalwood plus vanilla to create "a sensation as soft as the smell of skin after a sun bath".
