The interesting aspect of Black Sugar is that it purports to be an oudh / oud / agarwood variation on the original, which is in essence the meeting point of two very different universes and atmospheres, that of the fun fair with its dominant note of cotton candy, and that of a traditional Middle Eastern note of luxury, oud.
