Icelandic perfume label Gydja Collection has named strongman and actor Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson of Game of Thrones fame as its new masculine face for their men's fragrance Vatnajökull...
Björnsson is "known for his role of Gregor in the Game of Thrones TV series as well as being Europe's Strongest Man, a World's Strongest Man competitor and a four-time winner of Iceland's Strongest Man," according to Fashion Monitor.
Brand founder Sigrun Lilja Gudjonsdottir said,
'We're ecstatic to have Hafþór on board as the new figure of Vatnajökull, as he embodies the key principles of the fragrance: Strength, Power and Masculinity.'
The previous spokesperson for the fragrance was actor Thorvaldur David Kristjansson.
The perfume brand was created in 2010 after the eruption of volcano Eyjafjallajökull, which actually inspired the whole idea.
