Woman on the Phone {Paris Photo}
Woman on the Phone © 2015 Chantal-Hélène Wagner
This woman instead of talking on the phone while walking, like almost everyone else, had retreated to a corner of the street and de facto reconstituted half of a telephone booth, with two walls, in the open air. This, I realized afterwards...
Maybe her conversation was a particularly important one. Maybe it was too cold.
On the spur of the moment, something in her silhouette and the chiaro-oscuro effect attracted my attention towards her. She had a definite presence being both attentive but with her gaze seemingly lost in contemplation.
She is half-hidden by the shadows yet at the same time also revealed by the glare of the shop neons. She may be a discreet person, or she may be a dramatic personality. Both possibilities are contained for me in this picture.
