Memo, a niche fragrance brand from Paris Est. 2007, will launch a new perfume from May 2015 called Ilha do Mel (Honey Island), inspired by the eponymous island in Brazil...
House founder Clara Molloy was reportedly attracted by the name of the island and visited the place in the hope of garnering inspiration for her Les Echappées collection which focuses on travel-diary fragrances.
The composition is signed by house perfumer Aliénor Massenet of IFF. The 3 main notes are said to be juniper berries, broom flowers and vanilla.
The eau de parfum opens on top notes of mandarin oil, a hyacinth accord and juniper oil followed by a heart of broom flower, iris concrete, jasmine absolute and orange blossom absolute, while resting on a base of vetiver, vanilla oil and musk.
Price: $250 for 75 ml.
