Simply Spring XV: The Red & Pink Café - Still Fans {Paris Photo}

A usually bustling café is standing empty during a quiet afternoon. Among other things, I was struck by the harmony of reds, pinks and mauves which makes you think of a makeup palette or lipstick...

Also, I love ceiling fans - all sorts of fans actually - and the way they move in the summer. The white noise they make is a pure sensory association with summer. For right now, they are still at rest. Soon, they will be active and helpful to the sweaty brows of noisy patrons. So, in this moment of relative stillness, there is the time to feel the transition from spring - open air terrace - to summer, when the fans will be turning at full speed.
