Confidential perfume house Nicolaï have released a new composition called Ambre Cashmere Intense, which is dedicated to celebrating one of the earliest accords of nascent modern perfumery at the turn of the 20th century...

The fundamental association of labdanum and vanillin was revisited by perfumer Patricia de Nicolaï with input from her son Axel de Nicolaï who wanted to propose a very feminine ambery oriental formula, with a wake to match.

The eau de parfum opens on top notes of black pepper essence, mandarin essence and lemon essence leading to a heart of orris butter, violet and clove essence. The base rests on vanilla absolute, labdanum absolute, benzoin resinoïd, tonka bean absolute, patchouli essence, sandalwood, musk and amber.

Among the niche perfume brands of the world, Nicolaï can be noted for the good balance of natural and synthetic ingredients that they use as well as for their capacity for taking into account the longer French tradition of perfumery, bringing an adapted old-school style to their compositions.
