For several weeks after the November Paris Attacks, Le Carillon remained silent, offering blind windows to the external world which came crowding its sidewalk. Everything seemed to be in a state of as-is; bullet holes remained like a constellation of sadness only relieved by the scent of homage-full roses fresh then wilting, that people put in the holes as if they were vases, but without any water in them...
The building seemed desperately silent, inside only.
In December however, you started witnessing new signs of life as electric light suddenly filtered out of the crimson curtains, which remained closed. Recovery was gradual.
This photo is part of a series capturing the atmosphere of Paris after 11/13 in 130 pictures, one each day for each of the 130 Paris Attack victims.
