MAC Air of Style (2016) {New Perfume}

Mac cosmetics are launching a new perfume called Air of Style, which is part of the eponymous Spring 2016 Collection additionally comprising four lipsticks...

The new scent, which joins a library of Mac fragrances which appear episodically rather than regularly, launches with the tag line, a "lush floral scent that will turn any stride into a strut."

"Walk confidently with an Air of Style. Just one spritz will turn any stride into a strut. Let the lush floral scent of M∙A∙C's new fragrance surround you with a spirited, fearless aura and a healthy hit of sensuality. With an Air of Style, your persona never felt so cool."

The composition, which sounds complex enough and related to Air of Style ca. 2007 minus the Island Cypress but it could be just an omission, opens on top notes of "modern" red dates, wild peonies and an infusion of white pepper. The heart reveals a bouquet of absolute of tuberose, orange blossom and jasmine together with opulent ylang ylang and orris. The base rests on leather, rare woods, vetiver, creamy tonka bean, and "golden drops" of amber crystals.

The original composition is by perfumer Laurent Le Guernec.

Available in 50 ml, 20 ml and 6 ml.
