Ombres Portées Canari (2016) {New Perfume}
Ombres Portées Canari Eau de Toilette
Lille-based French niche brand Ombres Portées est. 2006 have released their first eau de toilette called Canari...
The composition is a unisex hesperidic opus inspired by the bright Pantone 108 yellow ; Named after the canary, the scent is also meant to evoke the bird's happy, beautiful singing.
Anyone familiar with the north knows how the sun and its life-affirming virtues are worshipped all the more in those places where it is rare. The name of the house says it all too.
The fragrance opens on top notes of Sicilian lemon and cédrat followed by a heart of sun-gorged agrumes with orange and mandarin. The base is said to be woodsy and « timeless » with notes of oak moss and vetiver.
The house previously launched a perfume called L'Eau d'Albert which was marketed as a « multi-usage » scent to be used both on skin and textile - and even in the bath. They focus on home fragrances. Canari marks a new orientation for the brand with septentrional French roots.
