Luxury Spanish fashion brand Loewe have issued a new duo of perfumes baptized Loewe 00I Woman & Loewe 00I Man, which are the first ones to come out under the signature of art director Jonathan Anderson, who was appointed to his position in 2014...
The fragrances were composed by perfumer Emilio Valores, the technical director of Loewe Parfums.
Both blends were created with the idea of affinities in mind as the two scents are variations on a single theme. Olfactorily speaking, this translates into related fragrances with different base notes.
Conceptually, 00I Woman and 00I Man are meant to capture what is seen as the antithesis to what you might call in popular culture « The walk of shame »,
« It interprets the notions of purity and the uncertain promise associated with the early hours following a first intimate encounter between two people, "the morning after." »
To emphasize this paradoxical notion of purity, the packagings are decorated with photographs by Karl Blossfeldt (1865-1932) whose rendering of plants is pristine, simplistic - and jaw-droppingly beautiful.
00I Woman has notes of bergamot, sandalwood, jasmine, and vanilla.
00I Man has notes bergamot, sandalwood, cedar, and musk.
