Mac Cosmetics have launched a rang of six perfumes which were conceived with a specific shade in mind, that of one of six cult lipstick colors found at the Mac counter: Crème D' Nude, Velvet Teddy, Ruby Woo, Heroine, Lady Danger, Candy Yum Yum...

Crème D' Nude
It's described as « A silky smooth current of wild honey and creamy musk runs through this oriental fragrance inspired by the sensuality of our Velvet Teddy shade. »
The fragrance has top notes of bright bergamot, spicy ginger zest and a rich and sensual tobacco flower. The heart features soft golden mimosa, vanilla orchid « and an almost edible » wild honey accord (see MAC Naked Honey & Africanimal). The base rests on liquid musk, smoky papyrus root and an infusion of exotic tonka bean.
It's been designed as a super wearable and versatile go-to perfume.
Ruby Woo
« An arresting rouge-red fragrance inspired by the legendary shade of Ruby Woo. »
The scent opens on red leather, mouth-watering wild, rich saffron and pink pepper. The heart showcases suede violet, Orris Florentine and Centifolia rose. The base rests on bold sandalwood and mahogany wood.
My Heroine
« A fragrance essence derived from the arresting purple of Heroine and articulated throughout the composition by rich and primal Cordovan leather. »
Notes are: saffron, earthy labdanum, smoky incense, patchouli and tobacco.
Lady Danger
« A dramatic fragrance, sexy and powerful, inspired by our famed fire engine-red shade. »
Notes: golden patchouli, exotic saffron, tangerine, tiger orchid, jasmine, black amber.
Candy Yum Yum
« Electric fruits and a shock of pink are at the heart of Candy Yum-Yum. »
Notes: Pink guava, cherry blossom, sophisticated Moroccan iris, pink cotton candy, luscious vanilla.
