Jean Paul Gaultier is introducing a new duo of fragrances in 2017 called Le Mâle Essence de Parfum and Classique Essence de Parfum, which are new takes on the two signature scents of the house...

Classique Essence de Parfum, which offers a "spicy Chantilly" facet, was created by perfumer Daphné Bugey of Firmenich.

The eau de parfum opens on a top note of hot ginger followed by a heart of sambac jasmine and orange blossom, while the base rests on a serving of Chantilly cream, together with Cachalox, vanilla and woods.

Le Mâle Essence de Parfum is a composition by Quentin Bisch from Givaudan, who explained that he stripped down the formula of Le Mâle to offer a new interpretation, just like the bottle now sports no marinière.

The eau de parfum has top notes of cardamom and agrumes followed by a heart of lavender, leather and osmanthus, while the base features costus, tonka bean and woods.
